An Ethiopian-American attorney, futurist, writer, and researcher on migration, with special focus on gender and sexuality. Tsion is a Black immigrant and a human rights lawyer deeply entrenched in the immigrant rights and Black Lives Matter (BLM) movements. She arrived in the US as an asylum seeker from Ethiopia with her family, and she now works closely with asylum seekers from Africa and the Caribbean.
